I grew up in an Italian family, every Sunday consisted of gravy, meatballs, braciole, stuffed artichokes, antipasti, pasta and of course, homemade wine as well as a variety of delectable treats that would make going out to eat seem like torture. Who could resist the daily smell  when coming home of some lovingly homemade meal? Knowing, that it would be the best reward after a week of work or school.

I was, needless to say, always interested in good food. I used to tell everyone I was spoiled, and to prove it I would bring an occasional friend  home once in a while.

Restaurants back then were a luxury, a special occasion for a birthday or some grand celebration.  The food was pretty generic and expensive! Chinese food was the most exotic thing back then. There were really no ethnic foods that were as mainstream as we see now. For example, in my early years, I would never think of eating Indian food, but now it is one of my favorite foods.

People began to explore cooking at home, thanks to Julia Child, the French Chef; a show on PBS in the early sixties. She paved the way for all chefs to share their skills with the American public.

Emeril Lagasse went viral on the Food Network and men began to think it was ok to cook.  All of a sudden cooking became fun for everyone!

I am always trying new recipes that I have friends and family try.  One of the big events of the year is Christmas Eve at our house.  We host between 20-25 people, friends and family, for a traditional Italian feast of the Seven Fishes. A tradition I'm quite proud of and so happy that I was entrusted to carry on this tradition for the past 10 years now.

I have over 20 years of cooking experience and 4 1/2 years experience working at a bread bakery where I learned the art of artisan bread making and gained experience in catering.

I love what I can do with food, let me help you enjoy meals again in your own home with your family.
